TEAM INFORMATION: 

5 Players (no goalie) 

Ball Size - 3 

Field Size - Tiny Tykes Fields 

Ages - 3 and 4

Playtime - 4 Quarters at 6 minutes each. Two-three minutes break between quarters. Halftime - 5 minutes break at halftime. No need to switch sides at halftime. 

REFEREES: 

Certified Refs are NOT required for this age group.  

RULES OF THE GAME: 

- Heading is not allowed in 5v5 games.

-- If a player heads the ball in a game, whether deliberately or accidentally, an indirect free kick should be awarded to the opposing team from the spot of the offense.

- The opposing team must move behind the mid-field line before a goal kick and may only cross the mid-field line once the ball is kicked and moved. After the ball is put into play, the opposing team can cross the midfield line, and play resumes as usual.

- Referees should be flexible when enforcing the 6-second rule.

- One coach from each team is allowed on the field during gameplay.  That coach is only allowed between mid-field and the top of the penalty box on their team’s defensive side.  Coaches may not cross the mid-field line.

- Coaches on the field may not physically contact players, even their own team, during play. Coaches are on the field for verbal instructions only.

- Players may not maintain a fixed position in front of the goal while acting as goalkeepers.
