What does my registration fee pay for?
Though we are an all volunteer-run organization, we still have many costs associated with operating our organization. These expenses are what your registration covers. This includes, but is not limited to: field rental, field improvements, league team fees, coach and player insurance, referees, team and scheduling administration and team equipment.
When is registration?
Registration typically opens in January for Spring, and in June for Fall.
What equipment do I need?
Shin guards, soccer cleats, appropriately sized soccer ball, water bottle. That's it!
Soccer Ball sizes:
Size 3 - the smallest balls and are generally used for children under the age of 8 (Kinder, 1st and 2nd grades)
Size 4 - Size 4 balls are used for players between the ages of 9-12 (3rd-6th grade)
Size 5 - This is the international standard match ball for all ages 12 and older, including all adult play (8th grade through high school)
When do practices start?
Practices typically begin two weeks prior to opening weekend. Most teams practice twice per week, with games on Saturdays and Sundays. Times and locations vary by coach and team.
Where and when do kids play?
Spring League: All spring games are played at the Englewood Soccer Complex, also known as Ward Field. Games are typically held early in the morning on Saturdays through the afternoon for older divisions. Games on Sunday are held after 1 PM.
Fall League: The older leagues (Passers & up) typically travel in the Fall--so games will be balanced between home (Ward Field) and away at other facilities. Younger leagues (Tiny Tykes, Junior Stars) games will be played at the ESC.
What age group should my child play in?
To work out a child’s soccer age, subtract their birth year from when the soccer season ends.
